Installing windows from booting CDs is very common and but installing of the Latest version of Windows7 from USB drive is quite different thing.
This type of installation useful for those who don’t have DVD drives or CD drives on notebooks or systems.
This type of method is very impressive and overall speed of the installation is also increases.
BlogTariff here presents trick to make a bootable windows installer in an USB.
Let’s begin the tutorials.


How to install Windows7 from USB drive?

Before you do this you require minimum 4GB disk space USB Drive and Windows7 installer disk.
Step One:-

Insert your USB drive and Click on Start button > Accessories > Command prompt
Type “cd\” back to C:\  and press Enter
Now, type “DISKPART” and press Enter
Immediately C:\ will disappear and only DISKPART> will be visible
Type “LIST DISK” and press Enter
A list of two type of Drives will be displayed with Disk 0 and Disk 1
Disk 0 is “System Hard Disk”
Disk 1 is “System USB Drive”
Type “SELECT DISK 1” and press Enter
(Note: This example is on Author system where USB is named as disk 1 if you’ve any name then use that one)
Now, you’ve to type all the below ordered commands
  • CLEAN
  • CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
  • SELECT PARTITION 1
  • ACTIVE
  • FORMAT FS=NTFS QUICK
  • ASSIGN
  • EXIT
Step Two:-
After successful work done, insert Windows7 installation disk
(Note: On Author system USB and DVD drive letter shows, I: for USB and F: for DVD drive)
Now write the following commands
F: CD BOOT
CD BOOT
BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 I:
EXIT
Copy the content of Windows7 installation disk into the USB drive.
That’s it you’ve done.
The priority  of boot settings change to USB.
